Description: In "Highrollerz Wheelchair Basketball," Zermillion transforms a basketball court into a vibrant celebration of community and resilience. The Royce Dog character represents wheelchair basketball worldwide. The project took nine days to complete and involved artists Casper and Zermillion.
Located in Chelmsford, Essex, United Kingdom, this court was inspired by by the Highrollerz Wheelchair basketball president and community leader. He mentors many young and upcoming players, and introduces the game of basketball not just to individuals with disabilities, but also to able-bodied people, making wheelchair basketball enjoyable for everyone and striving to earn it the same respect as the NBA.
The court was painted using Zermillion’s secret formula and exterior acrylic paint. The piece is more than just a striking image; it represents the power of art to bring people together and inspire change. Zermillion’s work blends creativity with purpose, using public spaces to make a meaningful impact while fostering connection and inclusivity.
