DescriptionThis Galaxy-inspired basketball court, located at Lennox Upper Elementary, was meticulously transformed over 7 days by Zermillion & his team. The project involved resurfacing, patching cracks, and painting the court's design.

Using a special formula for the black undercoat, which the artist & his team mixed themselves, and Dunne Edwards paint for the artwork, the court became a reflection of the artist's personal journey. Inspired by the universe, which had taken much from them, Zermillion dedicated every ounce of his creativity to what he believed may be his final tribute. This vibrant design symbolizes the artist’s personal relationship with creativity, where giving his all to the universe led to the opportunity to pursue art as a career.

The piece goes beyond its visual appeal, embodying a deeper narrative of perseverance and reward. By restoring the court and transforming it into a celestial artwork, Zermillion not only breathes new life into the space but also offers the community a place that reflects both inspiration and unity.
